Description:

This is a Business Analyst role supporting the BI CoE. The BA acts as an intermediary between the business community and IT to define, collect, clarify and translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation, process models, and data models from which applications and solutions are designed and developed. The Business Analyst is an active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle and will be required to work closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are met. This position will also have accountability for providing ongoing oversight and service management for application life cycle management, SLA#s, quality control, multiyear technology roadmaps and ensuring exploitation / value realization for critical IT services.
An ideal candidate for this role must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information and prioritizing the requirements to gain understanding of the business needs.
Develop process models based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
Develop logical data model based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components (e.g., Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Models).
Design business transactions based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components. Develop testing, implementation, data conversion or application support strategies in order to establish directions and develop applications.
Education Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience:  4-8 years of experience
4+ years of developing and managing functional and non-functional requirements, test cases and test scripts in the BI and Analytics domain in a corporate IT environment.
4+ years of experience in working in a global, virtual environment with IT Services groups and other management personnel.
4+ years of experience planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
Demonstrated profeciency in using requirement management tools such as JIRA.
Experience in Agile\DevOps project methodolgy.
Business Partner Knowledge: Knowledge of business partners (such as customer, bottler, service agent, supplier) in their context: industry trends and competitive pressures, strategies and plans, organizational structure, decision-making process, contacts, technology infrastructure and systems.
Data Modeling: Knowledge of data modeling procedures and the ability to identify and clearly define the entities (e.g., persons, places, things, concepts and events) and associations between them about which the business must keep data.
Data and Information Standards Integration: Knowledge of and ability to apply TCCC data and information standards in TCCC global applications. Includes the ability to identify the need for additional standards to meet business requirement for integrated information across the Company.
IT Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the key directional trends and emerging technologies in the IT industry. Includes knowledge of the key vendors, their strategic and tactical plans, and internal/external advisory services.
Process Modeling: Knowledge of process modeling procedures and the ability to decompose business processes by taking into account software and system capabilities and to ensure reuse, integration, maintainability and efficiency.

Functional Skills: 
Gather or analyze business requirements by conducting information-gathering sessions, (e.g., audience analysis, needs analysis, delta analysis, validation sessions) analyzing the information and prioritizing the requirements to prepare the education & training strategy.

Collaborate with clients to jointly identify the business systems requirements to support their business plans.
