This position is designed to develop new refrigeration technologies in conjunction with the global equipment development teams. The role will provide analytical support (testing, reporting and observation) for Engineering initiated projects, participate in the development of new technologies through set-up of testing procedures and processes, compilation of lab and field test data, and providing accurate detailed test results for internal stakeholders. This position will need to balance immediate and long-term priorities, seek to meet critical objectives while considering the impact of those decisions and activities on the ability to achieve long-term goals. Communicating effectively across technical and business stakeholders is critical to meet this criteria.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Lead all laboratory activities related to new equipment platforms supporting global equipment engineering (i.e. HC and CO2 refrigeration, Rapid Chill, Super Cooler, Freestyle etc.)
Keep up-to-date with industry requirements (i.e. department of energy) and guidelines to ensure product testing complies with latest standards.
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide platform to run rapid experimentation on new system designs and mechanisms in refrigeration.
Support early stage development to in-market / field trials and commercial launches via expertise in field performance.
An understanding of electrical, mechanical or thermal principles as they relate to problem solving and troubleshooting in an equipment environment is necessary. Test and equipment setup and protocols may not be standard and need to be developed to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
Education Requirements: 
Certificate or University / Bachelor's Degree
Related Work Experience: 
7+ years of hands on experience in refrigeration, fluid-flow and thermodynamics understanding with a mechanical aptitude understanding systems designs and controls. Technical experience in aerospace, equipment OEM or bottler space.
Additional Related Word and Education Experience (Not required, but desired):
Additional experience in cooling systems in an academic environment.
